Is there a way to change my feed url on my blog? It looks like you’ve got some experience with css and I’m wondering if it can be done through css customizations. Right now, the rss feed in my wordpress.com blog is simply http://nathancreitz.net/feed. However, since I use feedburner, my actual feed url is http://feeds.feedburner.com/nathancreitz. Currently, when someone clicks on the rss feed button on my site it comes up with an error message. Any tips?
Sorry, Nathan. My experience with CSS is very basic. The place to check is in the WordPress.com Support Forum. There’s a special thread for CSS questions. Good luck!
Hi Sandra – this is the most beautiful-looking site I’ve seen in a very long time. Very thoughtful of you to include this CSS page, too
I’ve started using Manifest as well but I’m having a couple problems with it. Since you’re using post formats with no problem, I wondered how! On my ‘add new post’ page I don’t see a box for post formats. And yours seems to be the only page on the web that uses them successfully! How did you activate this feature?
I love your footer as well – at the risk of divulging a trade secret, how did you do that? Is it a plugin?
Very best wishes to you.
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for the compliment. I’m operating on WordPress.org. Its version of Manifest has features that are not available on the version you download for use on WordPress.com The posts formats and footer are WordPress.org additions that are a standard part of this version of the theme. But they won’t be available on your version so that’s why you haven’t been able to sort it out! I don’t know if these are changes you can make writing your own code or not. The theme designer does sometimes makes upgrades to the theme. Here’s his original announcement for the theme, which will give you an idea of which elements are included in the version you are using. http://jimbarraud.com/2009/03/19/manifest/ It might be that you could ask him to make these upgrades to the theme; maybe he would in time, but maybe not. Sorry you don’t have access to these features!
Hope you can find a way around this. I think your blog looks quite nice though. What really makes this theme, I feel, is having a nice photo at the top of a post. I find it looks very compelling.
By the way, I didn’t have all my CSS changes listed above, so now I’ve updated to include them all. Best wishes.
Thanks, Sandra. It seems from Jim Barraud’s latest tweets that he is working on updating the WordPress.org version of Manifest, which is good news. I have changed my theme to Rudy Jahchan’s Manifesto for the moment, because I was beginning to sorely feel the lack of a sidebar. And I followed your suggestion and put an image in the header. Very best wishes, and thanks again for having replied so fully to my query.
Good day, Sandra! I just wanna ask if you could help me on my “simple” problem using The More Tags on my posts. I just saw your blog using it successfully and I wanna ask if you can teach me on how to use it. Can you? Please contact me here http://theblogdepartment.wordpress.com/associate-with-me/ Thank you and I am hoping for your response!
Hello, sorry for the delay in responding. I can’t get through on the link that you provided.
Here are the instructions for using the “more” tag.

Good luck!
Hello, I’ve scoured the web trying to learn how to add a header image in the Manifest theme. It’s the only thing keeping me from launching my website. Does anyone have any insight into this? The theme showcase on WordPress says it has header image support, but no instructions for how to add one (http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/manifest/). I’m not a code expert, but if someone tells me the code to use and exactly where to put it, I’m sure that would do the trick. Any tips would be helpful!
If you are operating on wordpress.com in your dashboard just go to appearance > header and you have the option to add the header.
If you are operating on wordpress.org that version of the theme doesn’t have a head option.
Good luck!
