Deepening Our Connection: Reader Survey

Yellow Lotus

I sometimes write spontaneously prompted by a life experience, a calling from my heart, or a subtle message from my subconscious mind floating upward in the early hours of the morning.

At the same time, my dearest readers, your needs, challenges, and aspirations reign foremost in my mind.  I always wonder, “How can my blog posts and courses, help you in the best possible way?”

I would love to hear from you.

Will you help me tune my writing to your desires, hopes, and dreams by taking this short Reader Survey?  It should only take about 5 minutes of your time.  I would be so grateful!

Thank you for reading my blog, sharing my posts, and connecting with me through your emails.  Writing for you makes my heart sing.  Whether you’re active on my blog or remain quietly in the background, I appreciate our connection and your presence at Always Well Within.

Listening to Your Wishes: Survey Results

I’m so grateful for your responses to my recent reader survey.

Your feedback and suggestions are incredibly invaluable.  The sense of appreciation and encouragement you expressed in your specific comments touched me deeply.  Thank you!

More than 10% of you responded!  That seems a healthy response rate to a blog reader survey given the busyness of modern life.  I appreciate that so many of you took the time to complete this survey.

If you haven’t had a chance yet, it’s not too late.  You can share your thoughts in the comments of this post.

Following are your wishes, my corresponding thoughts, and how I will incorporate your suggestions going forward on Always Well Within.

1.  What three post topics do you enjoy the most at AWW?

  • Spirituality & Wisdom – 71%
  • Mindfulness & Awareness – 70%
  • Personal Development – 40%
  • Inspiration – 38.3%
  • Happiness – 35%

Indulge in Midsummer Mischief!

I can’t believe there was a time in my life when the long summer months stretched out before me.  Unbounded time to play, explore, be lazy, and even indulge in a bit of innocent mischief.

Now, work, combined with my ambitious summer aspirations, is piling up as high as an Himalayan mountain.  I find I need to make a conscious effort to create time and space for frolicking aimlessly.  Is it the same for you?

Decreasing Excess Activity

In a stroke of synchronicity, I received my July I-Ching Reading from the Vizier.  The theme:  Great Excess!   Images like a loaded pillar at the point of breaking caution me to reduce and eliminate excess.  Moderation, apparently, is my path to success.

Always Well Within is Two!

Cherry BlossomsThe spring blossoms of April herald my blog’s second birthday, a useful time to pause, reflect, gather lessons, vision ahead.

And celebrate, of course!  Very few blogs make it past the six month mark.  I’m almost as old as the Minimalist Woman!

Thanks to you – my extraordinary readers at Always Well Within – there’s a purpose to my words!

When I starting blogging, I lived within a small, cozy blog cocoon.  “Thrilled” described my response to having even a few visitors to my blog.  A single comment brought sublime joy.  My intention was to share, serve, and be of help.  As naive as it may sound, I had no notion of “professional blogging” and felt no pressure to get ahead in the blogosphere.

Blogging Year One:  Obsession and Addiction

But that was bound to change!  timethief, a favorite blogging mentor, often spoke about the place of social media in blog promotion.  There are more than 72 million WordPress sites alone in this world and that’s just one part of the action.  The chances of someone finding your blog is akin to finding a needle in a haystack.  Hence, social media as one “essential” aspect of blog marketing…if your wish is to have readers.

January 2012 Review: On Writing and Micropublishing

The sun blessed us with her presence most of January, a stark contrast to the driving rains of Fall.  She often beckoned to me, but I (mostly) stayed present with the “work”.

I introduced Illuminations from the Heart, my weekly subscription letter and opened a page on my Writing Services.  I humorously – or seriously – thought to call it “I write for $”.  Is that too outrageous?

All before Mars – the planet of action – went retrograde on January 23rd, where she will relax until April springs forth.

Make Money Writing

Happily, after leaving a comment on Words Trumpet, I won a free spot in Charlotte Rains Dixon’s class Make Money Writing.

Rains Dixon has been successfully making money as a writer for years. During the dark ages (pre-internet) she wrote for traditional magazines and print publications. These days she mixes it all up writing a variety of content including articles, books, and ghostwriting alongside coaching and teaching. Charlotte’s passionate dynamism and caring heart infuse her teaching style.
