Supporting Always Well Within

Dear Friends,

Change is underfoot.  I can feel it in the air and within myself.  Only time will tell what the gentle breezes may bring!

In the last few months, I’ve been drawn to re-establishing myself as a writer.  I enjoyed working as a freelance copywriter a few years ago.  Before that, as a non-profit executive director, I wrote volumes of publicity, fundraising, and public relations materials.  Writing is my vehicle for creative expression and service to others.

I don’t know quite yet what form my new incarnation will take; it will probably emerge gradually.

But I do know that I love writing for you and sharing inspiration, insight, and practical information to help you feel better, gain perspective, and move forward in life.  I  plan to continue to put all my heart into my writing here on Always Well Within.

I know you value the time and care I put into crafting the articles I write for you.  If you feel inspired by my writing, one way you can express your appreciation is by by making a donation of any size – large or small – to support my work.

Your contribution will help me to:

  • Cover the operational costs of maintaining this blog.  I’ve opted for paid upgrades to the site, to make your reading experience more enjoyable.
  • Cover my health care expenses.
  • Establish a retirement fund.  Having worked in non-profits all my life,  I haven’t established a nest-egg for the future when I am unable to work.
  • Establish myself as an independent writer.

You will find a donation button on the support page and at the bottom of my home page.

Thank you for your kindness and consideration.  If you are not able to make a donation or don’t want to, that’s fine too.  You honor me with your readership each and every day.

With love and gratitude,

Sandra

  1. Sandra,
I do enjoy your site. Unfortunately, the new format is very difficult for me to read. It does not enlarge on the I pad.

    • Jan,

Thank you for telling me Jan. I looked in my settings at it looked like “Onswipe” for I-Pad was turned on. But I saved the settings again just in case. I’ll keep looking into this because naturally I would like I-Pad users to be able to view my site. Thanks for your help and all my love, Sandra

  2. Wow, Sandra. This must have been a very difficult decision to come to. Even though I haven’t any money to give you (having gone the little money/lower costs route), I applaud your courage in asking for what you need.

There’s a lot of value in what you do that can’t easily be quantified.

  3. Great move.

I’m a fan of blending passion and profit so you can sustain yourself for the long haul.

A few years back, one of my mentors shared a question he uses to drive and challenge himself, to go professional: “What would people pay you for?” He said it’s the ultimate test of whether you’re a “nice to have” or a “must have” or whether you are solving meaningful and relevant problems in a way that people find truly valuable.

I think online, the game is complicated, but always interesting. I’ve learned a lot by studying others. I do plan to share what I’ve learned in the not too distant future. I think more people will need to learn how to make a living online in the information age. People won’t always be able to count on jobs being where they are, but instead will need to sell their products or services around the world.

    • Hi J. D.

Very interesting ideas here! That’s an intriguing question from one of your mentors. The world is definitely changing. It seems we will all need to learn to be adaptable in these times. I glad you are going to share what you’ve learned in your online adventures. You always offer great value and meaning. Thanks for your support!

  4. Best wishes with re-establishing yourself as a writer and thanks so much for being an insipration to me and others. As a minimalist living a very ausere lifestyle for many years now I don’t have any money to donate to you. I don’t have enough to remove advertising from my own blogs yet, but I’m hopeful that others will be able to assist you. All my best to you in all you do.

  5. Thanks for your support, timethief. As one of my very first online mentors and friends, it means so much to me. I understand your austere situation and support simple living. Support comes in many different forms and your personal support is like a beautiful gem to me.
